The first batch of photos from our Carolina Beach family vacation we took during the first week of June are up on hoogendyk.com
But I averaged 7 minutes per mile. Not too shabby for doing it cold turkey with no training.
My legs are still really sore from the 5k cross country race I did on Tuesday.

The way she says spoon is so much cuter.
That one will be fun the next time we’re out to dinner and she uses her new-found word for fork. Sigh.
Which is great, except that she very clearly pronounces it as the f-word instead of fork.
She has been rehearsing its pronunciation all morning long.
Ella is excited to have a word for forks in addition to spoons.

Ella just woke up from her nap, got out of bed, opened the door, closed it behind her, and started playing. Woah!
As of today, Ella is able to open doors without a problem or any hesitation. She just moves from one room to another now.
Just posted a movie from the Noodle Forest at the Children’s Museum in Phoenix.
Ella and I are drowning our sarrows in a fresh batch of waffles while mama is away in Chicago.
